Wang Yung-ching

Wang Yung-ching (Traditional Chinese: 王永慶; pinyin: Wng Yǒngqng, born in Taiwan, 18 January 1917) is an influential entrepreneur with a large business empire in Taiwan. According to Forbes, he is the 185th richest person in the world and the second richest person in Taiwan with an estimated net worth of 2.8 billion. Wang is the chairman of the board of Formosa Plastics Corporation (one of the largest plastic manufacturers in the world), Nan Ya Plastics Corporation, Formosa Chemistry & Fibre Corporation, and Cyma Plywood & Lumber Co. Ltd. He is also the Chairman of Ming-chi Institute of Technology, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and Chang Gung University. He is a vocal supporter of the Three Links between Taiwan and mainland China. He is married to Wang Yueh-lan and has 2 sons and 8 daughters. One of them, Winston Wang, founded Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing with Jiang Mianheng, the son of Jiang Zemin.
