Walter Stampfli

Walter Stampfli (December 3, 1884 - October 11, 1965) was a Swiss politician. He was elected to the Swiss Federal Council on July 18, 1940 and handed over office on December 31, 1947. He was affiliated to the Free Democratic Party. During his office time he held the Department of Economic Affairs and was President of the Confederation in 1944.
