Wally Joyner

Wally Joyner (born June 16, 1962 in Atlanta, Georgia) is a former first baseman in Major League Baseball. He attended college at Brigham Young University and played for four different major league teams in his career: the California Angels, Kansas City Royals, San Diego Padres, Atlanta Braves and Anaheim Angels. He now resides in Mapleton, Utah. Joyner funds and appears in movies produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon church). Baseball Facts - Wally was the first rookie ever to be voted as an All-Star starter by the fans in 1986. He had compiled 20 HR's and 80 RBI's by the all star break. Numbers that are all to common now, but unparalelled by peers in 1986.
