Wakefield, Bronx, New York

Wakefield is a section of the Bronx in New York City, bounded by the New York city line with Westchester County and the City of Mount Vernon, New York to the north, Edenwald and Laconia Avenues to the east, East 233rd Street to the south, and the Bronx River, Bronx River Parkway, Metro-North Railroad tracks to the west. It is home to a large black (particularly Jamaican and Caribbean) population. The Wakefield Metro-North train station is located at 241st Street.
