Wacken (Town)

Wacken is a small Town (1.750 Inh.) near the city Itzehoe in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Wacken was first mentioned in 1148, but there were probably some settlements before, which is proven by the trove of germanic artifacts. Today Wacken is popular for staging europes biggest heavy metal open air festival "Wacken Open Air".
