W.f. Marshall

Rev. W.F. Marshall

Born in 1888, died January 1959. Educated first at Dungannon Royal School and then Queens College Galway. He served as a Presbyterian Minister at Castlerock Co. Derry for over thirty years. Marshall was a leading authority on the Ulster dialectic and broadcast a series on the BBC entitled Ulster Speech. A prolific writer and poet he also contributed 'Ulster Sails West' a book on people from Ulster who settled in America during the 18th century.
