W. W. Hodkinson

W. W. (William Wadsworth) Hodkinson (16 August, 1881 - 2 June, 1971) has been given the soubriquet of The Man Who Invented Hollywood. He was the founder, in 1912 of Paramount Pictures and devised the 'Hodkinson System' of film distribution that has, with little change, been in existence for almost a century.
