Vsters Municipality

Vsters vɛstər'oːs (population 126,328) is a Municipality in Vstmanland County, in central Sweden. It is situated on the shore of Lake Mlaren, in Westmannia, some 100 km west of Stockholm. Asea Brown Boveri, formerly ASEA, has one of it main locations at Vsters. Other major industries include transportation like Bombardier with several distribution centers, copper smiths like Outokumpu Copper and IT. University College of Mlardalen is located in Vsters and shared with the city of Eskilstuna. Rudbeckianska Gymnasiet, the first gymnasium in Sweden was founded by Johannes Rudbeckius in 1623.
