Virtualdubmod

VirtualDubMod is an open source video capture and linear processing tool for Microsoft Windows. It is based on VirtualDub, and is licensed under the GPL. It is hosted on SourceForge and is at version 1.5.10.1 (released December 2003). VirtualDubMod boasts many additional features as it is the merging of several specialized versions of VirtualDub that were written for various tasks. In addition to the features Avery Lee had in VirtualDub, it adds Matroska support, MPEG-2 support, Ogg Theora support and many other added features. One notable missing feature is the ability to program timed video captures, which was present in the VirtualDub modification VirtualDubVCR http://www.virtualdub.net/download.htm. The feature is missing because contact with the developer of VirtualDubVCR was lost; volunteers are needed to reimplement this feature in VirtualDubMod.
