Vipsania Marcella

Vipsania Marcella Agrippina (born 27 BC) was the only daughter to Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa from his second wife Claudia Marcella Major. She was the first grandchild to Octavia and first great-niece to Caesar Augustus. About 14 BC, she married the Roman general and politician Publius Quinctilius Varus. Little is known about this marriage and whether they had any children. In Robert Graves book, 'I Claudius; Claudius the God', Livia Drusilla charged her with incest with her late father and she committed suicide. Tacitus hints us however, she didn't die of childbirth or natural causes. He states that Agrippa's children were either killed in battle, starved to death or being poisoned. Tacitus makes no specific comment on her. The date of her death is uncertain.
