Vintila Bratianu

Vintilă Brătianu (1867-23 December 1930) was a Romanian politician that served as a Prime Minister of Romania between 24 November 1927 and 2 November 1928. Vintilă, with his brothers Ion and Dinu were the leaders of the Liberal Party of Romania. Born in Florica, he studied in France and after returning to Romania entered politics. He was an adviser on economic affairs of the Liberal Government lead by his brother, Ion. During World War I, he was a Minister of Munition and after the war, he served for six years, starting 1922 as the Finance Minister. After his brother, Ion, died, he held the post of Prime Minister of Romania, until he was forced to resign in 1928 to allow a new PNT (National Peasants' Party) government of Iuliu Maniu.
