Villamor Airbase
is home of the
Philippine
Air Force. It is from this airport that the foreign Heads of State are received. It is also this military base that the Philippine president uses when departing for foreign or domestic trips abroad. It is named in honor of a Filipino pilot,

, who fought during
World War II
. Originally called
Nichols Field
during the time of
American occupation
, the complex also hosts the
Ninoy Aquino International Airport
