Viktor Jacobi

Victor Jacobi is a Hungarian operetta composer. He was born on October 22, 1883 and died on December 10, 1921 in New York. He studied on Zeneakadmia (Musik Academy) in Budapest in the same time as other famous Hungarian composers, Imre Klmn and Albert Szirmai. Jacobi started his career as "Jakabfi Victor" on December 17, 1904 with the operetta "Rtarts Kirlykisasszony." His most famous operetta is Szibil. The performance of this operetta was cancelled in London because the beginning of the World War I. Therefore he left London for the United States. During his stay in New York he became very ill.
