Victory Day (Bangladesh)

December 16 is celebrated as the Victory day in Bangladesh. On this day in 1971, the colonial Pakistani Army surrendered to the Indo-Bangladeshi High Command in Dhaka, ending a 9 month long savage and brutal war of genocide. See Also: Bangladesh Liberation War.
