Victoria Monument

thumb thumb The Victoria Memorial (1911) is located at the head of the Mall, centered on Buckingham Palace, London. Its sculptor was Thomas Brock, working in an architectural context designed by Aston Webb. The Memorial is of white marble, with subsidiary figures in dark patinated bronze. Its nautical motives respond to the Admiralty Arch at the other end of The Mall.
