VeritasIn Roman mythology, Veritas ("truth") was the goddess of truth and a daughter of Saturn. Veritas is also the name given to the virtue of truthfulness, which was considered one of the main virtues any good Roman should possess. The words has since been used for many purposes, including the following: - Operation Veritas, the codename for UK military operations against the Taliban government of Afghanistan in 2001.
