VerdandiVerdandi is one of the three norns in Norse Mythology. Her name means "in the making".
A fictional character based on her appears in the manga and anime series Oh! My Goddess, called Belldandy. The name started out as Verdandi, and was transcribed into Japanese (Berudandi). When the manga came to the English world, it was semi-transcribed back instead of using the precedence.
