Venia Legendi

Venia Legendi (Lat. permission to read or to teach): In Germanic university systems, venia legendi is a credential permitting the holder to teach a particular subject at university. A condition for being granted a venia legendi is obtaining facultas docendi (Lat. teaching ability), which is conferred upon the basis of attaining a Habilitation.
