Velvet Acid Christ is a band from the USA and located in Denver producing electronic music of the darkwave genre. VAC's frontman, Bryan Erickson, also known as "hexfix93" or "disease factory", is a vegan with a profound hatred for Christianity. He calls humankind a cancer of this planet, and was a strong proponent of drug abuse (for example on his dancefloor hit Fun With Drugs). After the release of Fun With Knives, however, he ended up in misery because of his drug abuse, especially the drug ecstasy. After the release of "Twisted Thought Generator" he stopped doing drugs and encouraged others to do the same. Bryan Erickson is also known for trying to get attention (he carved the title of the album Fun With Knives on his arm in public and got arrested for it) and changing his opinions on a daily basis. VAC got famous in Germany for the song Futile and did also become quite popular in the US with the song Phucking Phreak, as well as Fun With Drugs. The album Hex Angel was number one on the DAC (Deutsche Alternative Charts) for 4 weeks.
