Vector Sigma

In the Transformers Fictional Universe (Generation 1 MTME), Vector Sigma was the computer that gave sentience ("Sparks" in later parlance) to non-sentient robots. He may also be connected to Primus and the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Vector Sigma requires a special key to activate. The two known keys are the stand-alone key and the one incorporated into Alpha-Trion. The key to Vector Sigma is shown to have the ability to convert living organic material into machine life and metal, and Vector Sigma was apparently used in the original conversion of the planetoid Cybertron into a machine world. In the Beast Machines series this fact was used again as a plot device, where Megatron attempted to use it to wipe out the Techno-Organic rebellion once and for all. Vector Sigma was destroyed in the G1 continuity in the series Headmasters, along with Cybertron.
