Vangjush Mio

Vangjush Mio (1891 - 1957) was a famous Albanian painter. He was born in Korce, where he lived until the age of 17. In 1908 he went to Romania and enrolled in the school of Fine Arts of Bukuresht. After finishing school, he opened his first exhibit which was very successful. This was the start of his career. After years of studying, working and painting, he achieved fame and also the title of 'People's Artist' in Albania.
