Vancouver International Film Festival

The Vancouver International Film Festival is a film festival held in Vancouver, Canada for two weeks in late September and early October. The annual festival began in 1982. The film festival shows works from around the world, and has established a reputation as a stepping stone for many young Asian filmmakers. In 2004, Vancouver's film festival was the largest exhibitor of Asian films outside of Asia.
