Van Johnson

Van Johnson (born Charles Van Johnson, August 25, 1916) is an American character actor. He starred in such films as The Caine Mutiny and did guest appearances on such TV shows as Batman during the 1960s. He had a road accident which left him with a metal plate in his head. This injury exempted Johnson from military service, and his acting career began in earnest in 1942, just as the United States was fully entering World War II.
