Valparaso (Region) Valparaso is Chile's fifth administrative region from north to south. It is on the same latitude as Santiago but borders with the sea. In this region is situated the main harbor city of Chile, Valparaso and the main beach town Via del Mar. Administratively the Pacific Easter Island also falls under the Valparaso Region's administration. Also in this region we can find industrial sectors such as tabacco and cement.
