Valeria Messala

Valeria Messala was the fourth and final wife of Lucius Cornelius Sulla Felix, Roman Dictator. When he retired from public life to a villa in the southern Italy, she accompanied him, as well as his bisexual lover, a Greek actor named Metrobius. It was said that Valeria was impregnated by one of 4 men (none of which were Sulla, quite possibly Metrobius). Sulla never found out, dying before she began to show her pregnancy. After Sulla's death, Metrobius and Valeria Messala fled to Greece, fearful that Gaius Marius' former allies and Sulla's enemies would take out their wrath on his innocent lovers.
