Usurp SynapseA band that both people loved and hated- Usurp Synapse was one of the most undeniably heavy and innovative bands in the power violence scene. Combining fast and frantic grindcore influenced drumming, noise-based guitar work, and raw screams, they set the pace for many bands to come such as Daughters, Textbook Traitors, etc. They released a slew of splits, EPs, and compilation tracks throughout their 3-year career, some with bands that have gone to be legends (Neil Perry), some with bands that have now fallen into utter obscurity (Hassan I Sabbah). Known for creative, sometimes unmarketable packaging (making a penis album cover; including a razor with a record that promoted suicide) and even more unrelenting music, this Indiana four, sometimes six piece will be remembered as a powerful band. (Some members are now in Fax Arcana)
