Uss Thomas Jefferson

• The first Thomas Jefferson (APA-30) was an attack transport in service from 1941 to 1949. The Thomas Jefferson was scrapped at the Seattle Navy Yard in 1974.

• The second Thomas Jefferson (SSBN-618) is a Ethan Allen-class submarine commissioned in 1963 and remained on active service until 1986.

• A fictitious Nimitz class aircraft carrier USS Thomas Jefferson was the setting of the novel Nimitz Class by Patrick Robinson. The Thomas Jefferson was sunk near the Persian Gulf by terrorists in 2002 using a Kilo class submarine.
