Uss Saratoga

Six United States Navy ships have borne the name Saratoga, after the important Battle of Saratoga in the American Revolutionary War.
  • The first Saratoga was a 16-gun sloop launched in 1780 and lost at sea the following year.

In the Star Trek fictional universe, USS ''Saratoga (NCC-31911) was a type three Miranda class starship in Starfleet. Formerly a ship Benjamin Sisko served on, Saratoga'' was destroyed by the Borg at the Battle of Wolf 359.
