Uss Sailfish

• The first Sailfish (SS-192), a Sargo-class submarine, was launched as Squalus, but sank during her trials. She was raised, recommissioned under her new name, and served through World War II.

• The second Sailfish (SS/SSR-572), the lead ship of her class, was the first submarine built expressly for radar picket service, and served though most of the Cold War.
