Uss Newark

Only one commissioned ship of the United States Navy has borne the name Newark, after the town of Newark, New Jersey. Other ships which were proposed as Newark.
  • Another light cruiser Newark (CL-108) was cancelled in August 1945 before completion, although the hull was later launched and used for tests.
