Uss Neptune

Four ships of the United States Navy have been named USS ''Neptune'' in honor of the Roman god of the sea.
  • USS Clyde (1863), a 294-ton side-wheel steam gunboat, was briefly named Neptune when first commissioned.
A fictitious nuclear submarine USS Neptune was the setting of the movie "Gray Lady Down."
