. Her keel was laid down on

1921
by the
Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corporation
. Her construction was suspended on
8 February
1922
at 11 percent complete, and canceled
17 August
1923
in accordance with the provisions of the
Washington Naval Treaty
. She was struck from the
Naval Vessel Register
on
24 August
1923
, and her unfinished hull was sold to the Steel Scrap Company of
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
on
8 November
1923
for scrapping on the slipway. See
