Uss Fgs Lutjens (Ddg-28)

USS Tolman (DDG-28), named for Commander Charles E. Tolman USN (1903-1943), commanding officer of USS De Haven (DD-469), killed in action when the ship was sunk by enemy Japanese aircraft off Guadalcanal on 1 February 1943 and posthumously awarded the Navy Cross, was a Charles F. Adams class guided missile armed destroyer laid down by the Bath Iron Works at Bath in Maine on 1 March 1966 and completed as Lutjens for the West German Navy. FGS Lutjens decommissioned in 2003.
