Edsall (FMR) class
destroyer escort
laid down by the Consolidated Steel Company at
Orange, Texas
on
2 July
1942
, launched on
1 November
1942 by Mrs. Bessie Edsall Bracey and commissioned on
10 April
1943
.
USS Edsall
was decommissioned on
11 June
1946
and placed in reserve at
Green Cove Springs
in
Florida
. She was stricken from the
Naval Vessel Register
on
1 June
1968
and sold for scrap in July
1969
.
