Uss A. Childs

USS ''A. Childs'' was a ship of the United States Navy. Besides her being listed as a ship of the Union Navy during the American Civil War, little is known about this vessel. At some unknown date, her name was changed from USS A. Childs to simply USS Childs. The hull of Childs was sold at Mound City, Illinois on 29 March 1865 for $1,625. This ship may be the same vessel as USS Alonzo Child. They both served during the same time and were both sold on the same day to Mound City. See USS Childs for other ships of this name. A. ChildsA.
