Urn

For the computing term, see URN.
A urn is a vase that usually has a footed pedestal. Funeral urns were used by many civilizations, as after their death, the bodies were cremated and their ashes were typically collected in an urn. Romans placed the urns in a niche in a collective tomb called a "columbarium" (literally, "dovecote").
