University For Peace

The University for Peace is an international university established by United Nations resolution 35/55 which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1980 and to which (17?) states are parties. Its headquarters are in Costa Rica. The main focus of this university is on programs relating to peace in the world. This compares to the United Nations University, which is concerned with more general global problems.
