University College Scarborough

University College Scarborough was a university college based in Scarborough in the United Kingdom. It is now part of the University of Hull and is known as the University of Hull Scarborough Campus. The institution was founded as a teacher training college called North Riding College in 1947. A downturn in numbers of trainee teachers in the early 1990s led it to expand into undergraduate degrees and it became known as University College Scarborough in 1994. In 2000, it was taken over by the University of Hull and became the University of Hull Scarborough Campus.
