Unity For Human Rights Party

The Unity for Human Rights Party (Albanian: Partia Bashkimi pr t Drejtat e Njeriut) is a centrist, more or less liberal party in Albania. The party was founded in 1992 to represent the ethnic Greek population as the continuation of the banned Democratic Union of the Greek Miniority (Omonia).It joined a socialist led coalition in 1997. In the 2001 elections it received 2.6% of the vote and 3 members of parliament. The party leader is Vasil Melo. The party is represented in the ELDR group in the Council of Europe
