Ultimate Reality

In philosophy, Ultimate Reality is the absolute nature of all things. It is different from ordinary reality, which is considered a product of the individual conscious mind. Ultimate Reality is independent of observation. An Ultimate Reality is generally alluded to by non-theistic religions where theistic religions would speak of divinity. The existence of an Ultimate Reality is debated. Metaphysical Subjectivism says that perception alone creates reality, and there is no underlying, true, reality that exists independent of perception. One can also hold that it is consciousness rather than perception that creates reality. However, Ultimate Reality theorists hold that there must be an objective truth for which to base one's perception, and that the difference in perception from person to person, reality tunnel to reality tunnel, is not due to a lacking objectivity, but rather can be attributed to the complexities that encompass the perception of one's environment, as well as differing environments between all.
