Ukonline.gov.uk

The web site http://www.ukonline.gov.uk/, launched in 2001, is the "portal" website of the UK government, run by the Office of the e-Envoy. Ukonline (not to be confused with the UK ISP UK Online) provides news, links, and search facilities connecting together much of the government's web presence. Visitors to the site are able to search for information on a variety of topics (for example, agriculture, finance or health) and retrieve a list of government departments that are able to provide them with more information. It is also possible to do such things as apply for a passport, buy a Television licence, register to vote or complete and send a Tax Self Assessment form.
