Uk Std Code 1252 United Kingdom (UK) Telephone (STD) Codes 01252 and 0251 (obsolete) This the Aldershot Charge Group. The codes for this group were originally published as '0AL2 ALdershot', '0AL1 7 Yateley (ALdershot)', etc. (See this article re the change from alpha to numeric and the additionof a 1.) 0252 was for the Aldershot linked numbering scheme (LNS) which included Farnborough. 0251 was for Aldershot level 8, eg. when in Aldershot you were told to dial 87 for Yateley. It is believed that all the 0251 exchanges had become part of the LNS before phONE Day. Exchange names which still exist in the 01252 group are: Airshow (a temporary exchange opened as required for the Farnborough Air Show), Aldershot, Deepcut, Elstead (Surrey), Farnborough (Hants), Farnham (Surrey), Fleet (Hampshire), Frensham, Hartley Wintey, Runfold and Yateley.
