Ubos

UBOS

A UK children's television program, based on the adventures of 3 students of a school of wizadry and a magic book. The series is about a boy called Verne who goes to school at a school of wizardry. When he arrives, he meets a witch (called Cassandra or 'Cassy' for short) and a half-elf (called Gus), who become his best (if only) friends. Cassy recieves a package with a book in. This book can talk, is a source of great power and is called U.B.O.S. (an acronym standing for ultimate book of spells). The kids are set on a task to overthrow the arch-enemy of wizardkind Zarlac. Each episode, something will go wrong (invaribly, Zarlac is envolved). U.B.O.S. will then transport the 3 students to one of many wierd realms, and will briefly defeat Zarlac, before escaping Zarlac. The series has been aired on CBBC, and had around 15 episodes. It is also incredibly similar to Harry Potter in some people's opinions, and they may well have been cashing in on this market. Others, however, dissagreee, saying it is just a coincedence, and is a good program.
