Wisconsin
.
Termini
The highway's eastern terminus is
Norway, Michigan
at
U.S. Highway 2
in the
Upper Peninsula of Michigan
near the border with Wisconsin. The western terminus is in
Forest Lake, Minnesota
with
U.S. Highway 61
at
Interstate 35
. Originally it reached downtown
Minneapolis
before Interstate 35W supplanted most of it west of Forest Lake. Except for the short freeway segment near Forest Lake, it is all undivided surface road.
