The History

TxMafia.com is a website which origins from 1998, founded by some of the members of the Portal (database of files which users can download and use for free, and submit new files) based site, Newgrounds, with the shared goal of creating a better Macromedia Flash Portal based site. It was also planned for it to have a good design and run fast. TxMafia's creator and current administrator is Kevin Nuut (alias Kev-Nuu.) The name TxMafia originally comes from Texas Mafia, for an unknown reason, other than that Texas is Kevin Nuut's homestate. Now, the site is only referred to as "TxMafia", or "TxM".

TxMafia Today

In addition to the Flash Portal (Or "CellBlock" as it is locally named,) TxMafia has also got a very active forum (also known as BBS.) Allthough the main focus of TxM is mostly around the CellBlock, most of the more active members attend regularily to the forums. Here you'll find anything from art contests and political discussions to several houndred pages of spamming. However, the mood is always good, and the TxMafia community is (almost) always welcome to new members.
