Two By Two

Two by Two is a name given to a certain christian fundamentalist sect, they are also called Cooneyites (after Edward Cooney) or Workersect. The group deliberately has no name, they simply refer to their belief as The Way or The Truth. The followers call themselves "friends", whereas the missionaries are called "workers" which go out in pairs (hence the "two by two"). The movement was founded by William Irvine (1863-1947) in 1897. Their doctrine is close to other baptist churches, but with some differences.

Doctrines different to mainstream Baptists
