Tweaker

Tweaker is a slang term for someone who abuses Methamphetamine, Cocaine or other stimulants. The term comes from tinkering behaviors associated with methamphetamine use. For example, taking apart a bicycle or stereo while under the influence of methamphetamines would be phrased "tweaking on a bicycle or stereo." Tweaking denotes a compulsive behavior.

Tweaker is also the name of Chris Vrenna's solo music project. Chris Vrenna is the former drummer and engineer for Nine Inch Nails. Tweaker has released two albums, The Attraction To All Things Uncertain (2001) and 2am Wakeup Call (2004). Tweaker toured select North American dates with Skinny Puppy in 2004.
