Tunnels In The United States

One of the newest tunnels in the United States is the one in Boston, under the Boston Harbor, that links downtown Boston to the airport. It's called the Ted Williams tunnel. The longest tunnel in the United States is the Cascade Tunnel a 7.8 mile long railroad tunnel through the Cascade Mountains approximately 65 miles to the east of Everett, Washington. Another tunnel in the United States is the Detroit-Windsor tunnel under the Detroit River, from Detroit, Michigan (US) to Windsor, Ontario (Canada). The Lincoln Tunnel, connecting New York City with New Jersey, is the busiest tunnel for vehicular traffic in the world, with some 120,000 vehicles traveling through it every day. See also List of tunnels.
