Sailele Malielegaoi Tuila'epa

) is the current Prime Minister and foreign minister of
Samoa
. He has been Prime Minister and foreign minister since
23 November
1998
and was re-elected in
2001
. He is an economist and was the first Samoan to get a masters degree. He used to work for the
European Economic Community
and
Coopers & Lybrand
and was elected to the Samoan parliament in
1980
. He is the leader of the
Human Rights Protection Party
