Try This

Try This is the title of musical artist Pink's third album, which was released on November 11, 2003. The album features 13 tracks, eight of which were co-written with Tim Armstrong of punk band Rancid. Singles from the new album include the tracks "Trouble" and "God is a DJ".

Making of Try This

Pink met Tim Armstrong through a mutual friend at a Transplants video shoot. The two hit it off and Pink ended up co-writing 10 songs with him in a week when Rancid was on a tour with the Foo Fighters. Eight of these tracks appeared on Try This with Armstrong also producing much of the album. Try This also features three songs written with Linda Perry who cowrote much of Missundaztood Pink's hit second album. The album also features a collaboration with electroclash artist Peaches on "Oh My God".

Chart success

As of May 2 2004, Try This had reached the top ten of album charts in the US, UK, Canada and Australia with the album reaching number 2 in the UK. So far, there have been three singles released from the album including:
  • "Trouble" reached number 2 in Canada, went top 10 in the UK and Australia but only 68 on the Billboard Hot 100;
  • "God Is A DJ" reached top 10 in the UK and China and the top 20 in Ireland and the world dance/trance chart (based on US, UK, German, Australian, Japanese and Italian dance charts);
  • "Last To Know" has reached the UK Top 20.
